OVH data center on fire

Few hours ago OVH reported that they had a fire in one of their data centers located in Strasburg. You can read more about the incident

The SBG2 is destroyed, SBG1 is damaged and firefighters were trying to save SBG3/4. Fortunately nobody was injured in the accident.

The sad part is that many companies and IT services will be unavailable and some of them problably lost their data. Two examples from our community are Medivia and Ezodus, for now their servers are unavaible, let's hope that they will recover from this!

Luckily Medivia recovered from this and all worlds are online with little rollback.

They're working on rebuilding the electricity connection and network, in the meantime they have working generators so maybe it will come back in a few days.

WTF Ezodus. Backupów nie mieli? Albo robili w tej samej lokalizacji? Mądrze
Postawienie takiego serwerka od nowa, w nowej lokalizacji, z backupu z 9-10 marca powinno zająć nie więcej niż kilkanaście minut... Ba. Z takim hajsem jaki oni tam robią, to powinni mieć mirror serwer z replikacją i przepiąć ruch z automatu w kilka sekund + do tego backup offsite, nawet u innego dostawcy. Gracze powinni dostać kicka i po minucie się zalogować, co najwyżej z cofką do ostatniego save.

U nas fragment produkcji wycięty z sbg, zaraz porozrzucana infra po rbx-fr, fra-de, lon-uk... I wszystko działa. No ale to trochę inna skala, ok.

Medivia sobie poradziła, ale też z absolutnym minimum sensownego podejścia. Bo stawiali serwery na nowo i przywracali backupy. Ale w jakimś w miarę sensownym czasie to zrobili.
Tibiopedia pewnie mniej nastawiona na zarobek niż serwerki po 2k graczy, więc też wiele bym się nie spodziewał, ale bez przesady. Ile dni to już leży?
